The Another Way Prepared Environment

The facility embodies our philosophy and goals:  a spacious log cabin and log studio in a rustic setting roots modern instruction into early American cultures.  Our prepared environment is designed to meet the child's developmental needs while facilitating learning through direct interaction in a nurturing and safe atmosphere.

Ample windows provide natural light and beautiful views of the high desert mountain country.

A generous, fenced playground abuts access to open public land suitable for nature hikes and trail rides.

Stables and a fenced pasture allow our horses to live on-site during spring, summer, and fall to facilitate regular interaction and skill development.

Another Way offers an extended program with a different area of focus for each season.

You are welcome to visit our unique private school in
Park City, Utah.   Another Way is considered
to be "The Gem" of Summit County.

Focus on the Children:

Our children deserve the very best we can provide for them to awaken their extraordinary creative potential for good.  Every decision made by the Native Peoples of this land was focused on ensuring the highest good for the unborn for generations to come.

Maria Montessori's plea to the world was to look to the children and apply all national efforts to create an education worthy of their attention; an education that would help the children activate

their full spiritual potential to create a peaceful and
harmonious society.

The Sioux believed "When decisons are made from the heart and guided by Spirit, there is always another Way."  The Another Way prepared environments and teaching method are informed by this philosophy every moment of the day.

"The success of the lesson depends on the quality of the prepared learning environment;
it either dooms the lesson to failure or ensures success."
